freshsalsa

today at camp, we made..
(i have a feeling there will be more posts that begin this way)

fresh salsa! with just-picked cilantro from the camp garden. mmm. it's ridiculously good. and really fun to make when you have big, sharp chopping knives and other kitchen girls to help you chop!

rebecca's fresh salsa

2 cups tomatoes, diced
4 green onions, sliced OR a medium sweet onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 T. fresh cilantro, chopped
2 T. red wine vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
dash of hot sauce, optional

chop all veggies and herbs as finely as you like, mix all together and serve right away. adjust any ingredient to your taste. (but seriously, this blend is perfect.) makes about 3 cups.

I absolutely love freshly made salsa! i make it myself in the summer when the tomatoes are fresh from my garden or the farmers market. Actually, my sister makes the best salsa! I use her recipe, but somehow, it just tastes different. Hers is always better!

I love salsa! i'll have to make this recipe. it seems like salsa always tastes better when it's homemade.
